Foreman Homes - AFR Rate 2023

Part of our pledge of Building Excellence relates to not only our customers but also our own team and our dedication to keeping them safe when they're on site.

Our Health and Safety Manager, Chris Turner, works tirelessly throughout the year to monitor and evolve processes, coordinating with our site managers and their teams to ensure any hazards or accidents are kept to a minimum.

We are pleased to report that in 2023, our Accident Frequency Rate (AFR) is a reflection of this. Surpassing 2021 and 2022, our 2023 AFR was just 0.2 – well below the national construction average of 2.6.

This is calculated by taking the number of reported incidents and averaging these over the hours worked across all of our sites. It's a true testament to the effort put in by Chris and the entire team so a big well done to everyone involved.

What's next for 2024?

With multiple new projects on the horizon for Foreman Homes, our goal is not only to maintain our current standards but always to keep improving and Building Excellence. With 2 HSE visits to our sites already in 2024 and no major areas for improvement, we're well on the way to achieving this.
