Half Term in Hampshire

If you're looking for ways to keep busy during half term, then we've got the perfect guide to Hampshire activities for you and your family!

For all the animal lovers, why not take a trip to Marwell Zoo? Their 140-acre park is perfect for burning off some energy while spotting all your favourite four (and two) legged friends! Don't miss out on their feeding time talks with their lemurs, lizards and more.

As well as meeting all the animals, their tremendous Tree Trail is a great way to get kids invested in the outdoors with some of the trees on the Marwell Estate dating back to the 14th century.

If you're a bit of a thrill seeker, we've got just the thing… iFly in Basingstoke is just the thing if you want the thrill of skydiving minus any planes! Their 14ft wind tunnel imitates the feeling of freefalling while you float on a cushion of air – super fun, super safe and super cool!

If you like the Great Outdoors but want to keep both feet on the ground, why not explore of the beautiful countryside that Hampshire has on offer. There are plenty of routes to choose from, from the 0.8 mile Bolderwood Deer Spotting Walk all the way up to 11 mile Meon Valley Tail with plenty in between.

For the history buffs, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard has something for everyone. It's the premier spot for UK naval history, not only being home to HMS Victory but also the Mary Rose museum where you can explore the remains of Henry VIII's favourite ship. It's also just a short walk from Portsmouth's Spinnaker Tower – the Sail of the Solent and the centrepiece of the Portsmouth skyline.

From their 100m high viewing deck, you can see up to 23 miles on a clear day taking in the South Downs, Isle of Wight and more. If you're brave enough, take a walk across their glass Sky Walk showcasing the 1,100m drop down. It's only 60mm thick but don't worry, it can hold up to 288 stone so feel free to walk, run or even dance across it…if you're brave enough.

Looking for something to wrap up the week with a bang? Paultons Park is the UK's number 1 rated family theme park on Google, located in Hampshire with over 70 exciting rides set within 140 acres of parkland on the edge of the New Forest. It's also home to Peppa Pig World, the perfect treat for your little ones with 9 rides specially designed for small children to enjoy, and its very own zoo.

Whatever you decide to do, we hope you have a great time and enjoy the variety of adventures that Hampshire has to offer.
