Rookery Avenue Planning Permission Granted

We are thrilled to announce that we have received planning permission for a new site in Whiteley, Hampshire. Whiteley is a popular destination in Fareham, Hampshire with an abundance of local amenities for people to enjoy.

The site was originally allocated as suitable for housing by the Borough Council who suggested it was able to readily accommodate 32 dwellings. Following this, we undertook multiple assessments of the area. This was due to the fact that the site was not only home to significant areas of ecology and trees of note but also as it sits in relatively close proximity to the M27.

Once we had a clear view of the constraints of the site and had plotted them, we could then take the next step in the design process. When a viable layout for both future residents and the ecology of the site had been created, we liaised closely with the council's planning team as well as local residents to design a scheme that could harmoniously deliver 32 new homes while still respecting the surrounding area.

The culmination of this was a figure of eight layout whereby two storey homes has been introduced to maximise the opportunity for views across the retained, and enhanced, green areas on the site. This was the proposal that got put to the planning committee where it was approved.

It is a site that we're excited to build out and deliver as we truly feel that residents of each of these future homes will benefit from a great location with close proximities to services and excellent transport links to the wider area.

We are always looking for further land opportunities across Hampshire and the surrounding counties. Please contact us with any opportunities at land@foremanhomes.co.uk
