We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Legal Assistant to join our busy Land Team.

Reporting to the Land Manager, the successful applicant will assist with the legal aspect of Land Acquisition for the group and will play a key role in the business.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Manage legal correspondence with the Group's solicitor in respect of Land; acquisition, planning, sales and build contracts.
  • Read and analyse legal/planning correspondence in relation to sites, highlighting any extra costs or issues which could affect the viability of the site.
  • Work closely with Housing Associations and Social Housing providers to prepare, progress and complete land sales and build contracts.
  • Manage Consultants and obtain reports on sites being purchased.
  • Prepare and present legal handover files containing relevant site information.

Legal real estate experience is essential, as well as a general appreciation of land acquisition and a keen eye for detail.

Site Operative – Forklift Operator

We are currently looking to recruit a Site Operative to join our site based Construction Team based at one of our sites in Andover, Hampshire

Responsible to the Site Manager and Project Manager, the successful applicant will provide building support and general labouring on the site.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Assist the Project/Site Manager to ensure that building materials and resources are available to meet the construction programme.
  • Provide Forklift driving to assist in the smooth running of the site.
  • Monitor Forklift and other equipment to ensure maintenance in good order and report problems to Line Manager,

It is essential the post holder has an appreciation of the health and safety process pertaining to the construction industry. They should also possess relevant Forklift and CSCS certification.

Foreman Homes is looking to recruit an experienced Land Buyer to join our expanding team. The successful applicant must have the ability to confidently develop and negotiate with clients to secure the acquisition of land for development.

Key Tasks will include:

  • Liaise with Land Agents, owners and other clients via telephone on land purchases/prospective purchases.
  • Develop new methods of sourcing land for potential residential development.
  • Source new land by researching land web sites, liaising with Land Agents on a regular basis, researching planning portals and registering with Estate departments.
  • Undertake an initial market evaluation of proposed sites, prior to a complete market appreciation by the Sales Department, to ascertain initial commercial viability of proposed sites.
  • Use the Pro-Map system to obtain Ordnance Survey records, Flood Risk Assessments, Tree Order Protection information and relevant planning information in order to complete site feasibility for presentation to Head of Land Acquisition or Chief Executive.
  • Report to the Land Director/Head of Land on a daily basis with all newly sourced land within an agreed time scale, share new land with Planning Department where required and accurately record and update relevant persons with feedback.

It is essential for the post holder to be computer literate.. They should also have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
