Foreman Homes has grown rapidly over the last few years to become of one of the region's largest and privately-owned housebuilders. We are proud to have a substantial pipeline of schemes coming forward for 2020 and beyond. To accommodate the company's success and continued expansion, we are looking for new people at different stages of their career to join the ever-growing Planning team. We are open to Planners from a private or public sector background at a variety of levels to help us shape the future of building. Currently, we are looking to fill at least four posts and have an immediate need for:

Principal Planner
Senior Planner
Planning Technician, Administrator or Apprentice

As a valued member of the Planning team, you will have full involvement in managing the diverse areas of the planning system on behalf of the company. As part of this process, you will have the opportunity to work closely with in-house departments as well as architects, consultants and stakeholders. On a daily basis, you will be assisting the Director and providing support by appraising sites, responding to policy, and researching, drafting and submitting planning applications. You will be required to deliver on planning projects of small, medium and large scale, ranging from 1 to 500+ homes. The types of projects vary from 1-2 bedroom flats to 4-5 bedroom houses and mixed-use developments in both rural and urban settings. In addition, you will prepare for appeals, committee or any other high-profile public events as well as attending client meetings and site visits as required. The role will allow you to develop your professional career and help deliver new communities while simultaneously supporting and developing the company's market presence throughout Hampshire and the wider area.

We are primarily looking for candidates with good experience and knowledge of Planning processes, laws and regulations. A degree in town planning or experience in a similar role is desirable. However, a desire to produce and deliver quality results and eagerness to progress your career as a planning professional is equally welcome. As for the technician/administrator/apprentice person, that will very much depend on team-fit, drive, ambition and aptitude, as this is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to forge out a professional career.
