Residents at Weyhill Gardens celebrated moving into their new homes with a coffee morning. The new development includes 5 affordable family homes built by Radian working in partnership with Foreman Homes and Test Valley Borough Council. The residents were joined by the project team and Local Councillors for coffee and cake.

One of the residents, who recently moved into a 3 bedroom home with his family, was happy to show everyone round their new home and said:

"We lived at our in-laws house for a year as we privately rented before and were struggling to save for a deposit. I signed up to Help to Buy South and fortunately we were offered and accepted the property at Weyhill Gardens.

"Getting this affordable home through Test Valley Borough Council and Radian has meant everything to us; we now have a family home that we never thought we would get."

Portfolio Holder for Housing and Environmental health, Councillor Sandra Hawke said:

"It was a great pleasure visiting the families in their new homes. Developments such as Weyhill Gardens really do help to change people's lives.

"Since the 1st of April this year the Council has helped to deliver 137 new affordable homes in the borough and we will continue to work hard to ensure that Test Valley is a great place to live, where the supply of homes reflects local needs. I would like to say thank you and well done to all those involved in the project."

Tony Goodman, Project Manager from Foreman Homes said: "The houses have been finished to high standard, spacious gardens and have fantastic views overlooking the fields!"

Tim Willcocks, Radian's Assistant Director of Land & New Homes was there to meet residents and the project team.

Tim commented: "Weyhill Gardens is another affordable development which demonstrates the excellent partnership working between Radian Homes and Test Valley Borough Council, and follows on the good work from other recent projects such as Abbottswood, Sunfield Close, Mylen Road and Junction Road. A great effort by all the team."
