Results, Progress and Pathways

April 2, 2026

At Foreman Homes, we believe in building strong communities – and that’s exactly what we’re seeing from one of our sponsored teams, Trojans Rugby Club, this season.

Men’s 1st XV: Leading the Way

The Men’s 1st XV continue to impress, sitting firmly at the top of the league following an emphatic 86–14 victory over Southampton RFC.

What makes this success even more special is the pathway behind it:

  • 15 of the 18 players came through the club’s youth system
  • 10 players are under 23, highlighting a bright future
  • A blend of youth and experience, with senior players contributing nearly 1,000 caps combined

At the beginning of March, the squad also delivered a commanding 65–14 win, with three debutants stepping up from the Colts, reinforcing the strength of the development pipeline.

With just two league games remaining, the team is in a strong position to secure the title. They also have a National Cup quarter-final against East Grinstead RFC to look forward to.

The club also took time to honour Les Maybey, with a heartfelt pre-match tribute – a reminder that rugby is as much about people as it is performance.

Men’s 2nd XV: Strength in Depth

Despite a league fixture cancellation, the Men’s 2nd XV ensured valuable game time with a friendly – running out convincing 72–22 winners.

These matches continue to play a vital role in:

  • Transitioning Colts into senior rugby
  • Building squad depth
  • Maintaining a competitive, high-performance environment

Women’s 1st XV: Thriving After Promotion

The Women’s 1st XV capped off their season with a 19–14 win over Bath Rugby Ladies.

Following promotion, the team set out not just to compete – but to thrive. And they’ve done exactly that:

  • Competing strongly against established teams
  • Continuing to integrate players from the youth section
  • Building a resilient and ambitious squad

Women’s 2nd XV: Unbeaten and Unstoppable

The Women’s 2nd XV are enjoying a remarkable season:

  • 9 wins from 9 games
  • Sitting top of the league
  • 6 points clear with three games remaining

Their final home game promises to be a key moment in what could be a title-winning campaign.

A Club Built on Development

Across all teams, one theme stands out – homegrown talent.

From youth rugby through to senior squads, the club continues to:

  • Develop players at every level
  • Create clear pathways into senior rugby
  • Support both men’s and women’s games equally

It’s a model that aligns perfectly with our values at Foreman Homes – investing in foundations that create long-term success.

Looking Ahead

With league titles within reach, cup competitions ahead and continued growth across all squads, it’s an exciting time for the club.

We’re proud to support a team that represents everything great about grassroots sport – commitment, community and opportunity.
