At Foreman Homes, our reputation is built not just on delivering beautiful homes, but on the care and commitment we show to the people behind them – our teams, partners and contractors. Safety is at the core of everything we do and we believe it’s essential that everyone returns home safe and well at the end of the day.
One of the key ways we measure our health and safety performance is through our Accident Frequency Rate (AFR). This metric tracks the number of reported incidents across all our sites relative to the total number of hours worked, helping us understand how effectively we are managing risk on the ground.
We’re incredibly proud to share that in 2025, our AFR reduced further to just 0.8, down from 1.1 in 2024. This is significantly below the current industry average of 2.6, highlighting the strength of our safety culture and approach across our sites from our Health & Safety team to our site managers and everyone working across our developments.
Reducing our AFR demonstrates that the safety measures we’re putting in place aren’t just policies on paper – they’re practised every day on site.
While we’re proud of this achievement, we know there’s always more work to do. As Chris Turner, our Health & Safety Manager, often reminds us, progress has little to do with speed, but everything to do with direction. Every small improvement, every secure process and every safety conversation contributes to a culture where people genuinely look out for one another.
2025 saw us continue to grow and deliver more homes than ever before and throughout that growth, we’ve maintained the high standards of health and safety that our teams, customers and partners expect from us.
