Meet The Team – Sales Advisor Lisa

September 29, 2026

At Foreman Homes, we are proud to have a passionate, dedicated and friendly team who are always on hand to help and support our customers at every stage of their journey.

Today, we’re speaking to Lisa, one of our Sales Advisors at our Shore View development, to get an insight into her role at Foreman Homes, what she gets up to on a daily basis and her advice for prospective home buyers looking to embark on their path to home ownership.

Tell us about yourself and your role at Foreman Homes

I’m Lisa, a Sales Advisor at Foreman Homes, and I’ve been working here for 2 years. Prior to this role, I’ve always worked in estate agents, lettings and new homes, but I absolutely love working in the new build industry. I live locally and have always been aware of Foreman Homes and the developments they were building. I’d always thought it would be a great company to work for, so I’m really pleased to be part of the team.

What does a typical day in the sales office look like?

When I arrive, I start by unlocking the show home and putting the board out to let everyone know that I’m open. Once the boards are out, I’ll go through the show home, turn on all the lights, and make sure everything is clean and in place, ready for buyers to come and have a look around. Following that, I’ll check my answer machine to see if there are any messages, check my emails and check my diary. After that, I’m ready to welcome people coming to visit and for any scheduled viewings.

Could you talk us through a viewing?

If I’m contacted by a prospective buyer, I’ll invite them to book an appointment. Once they arrive, I check all their details, find out what sort of property they’re interested in, what their price range is, and what their current property situation is. For example, are they a first-time buyer, or are they selling their current home? Then we would discuss the properties, look through the site plan, take a look around the show home, and answer any questions they have. A viewing gives buyers the chance to experience the home and location in person, get a real feel for the space and ask any questions that come to mind.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love that we are there for customers from the very beginning, right through to completion. We are on the whole journey together. When I used to work in estate agents, everyone had different departments, and customers would be passed from one department to the other. But working here, you really get to know your customers, and you get to build a rapport with them, and you’re on the journey with them, which is really nice. I love going from making the reservation with them to then handing over the keys and presenting them with their new home. That’s what it’s all about.

What do you love about Shore View?

I don’t even know where to start! There are so many things to love about Shore View. It’s such a wonderful area that’s got a lovely village feel to it. There are so many amenities and brilliant places to visit. You’ve got Porchester Castle, Port Solent, Portsdown Hill, and lovely walks along the water. You can do the Portchester Castle to Wicor Marina trail. It’s just beautiful. There are so many nice places to go. Most importantly, the people are lovely. Portchester is known to have a really nice and friendly community of people and I feel so lucky to work here. A lot of the buyers are currently living in Portchester, and love the area so much that they don’t want to move out of it! It seems that the area just sells itself.

Do you have any advice for prospective home buyers?

My first piece of advice would be to speak to a mortgage advisor. Get a good idea of what you can afford so that you can set yourself a budget. Remember to keep in mind expenses such as legal fees, stamp duty, etc. That way, we know your price range and what we are able to offer you.

Additionally, one of the benefits of buying from Foreman Homes is that you have a dedicated sales advisor. If you’re worried about something, you are always welcome to come and speak to them, or any of the team. Don’t sit on your worries; we’re always happy to help. Especially as Shore View is open 7 days a week. We would always recommend booking an appointment where possible as this allows us to dedicate enough time to talk through everything in detail.
