Charity Partner of the Year 2026 đź’›

February 13, 2026

The team at Foreman Homes is proud to announce that our chosen Charity Partner for 2026 is Sophie’s Legacy, a UK charity dedicated to supporting families with children in hospital and driving meaningful change in paediatric care.

Sophie’s Legacy was established in memory of Sophie, who tragically passed away aged 10 after battling a rare childhood cancer. Throughout her treatment, Sophie experienced first-hand the challenges families face when a child is in hospital and identified practical, powerful ways care could be improved for children and their parents.

What Sophie’s Legacy Stands For

The charity works tirelessly to support families and campaign for lasting change in children’s healthcare. Their work includes:

  • đź’› Helping families with transport, clothes and meal vouchers when they need it most.
  • 🍕 Providing snack and toiletry boxes, parent packs and weekly pizza nights across hospitals.
  • 👩‍❤️‍👨 Offering emotional support and practical care during long hospital stays.
  • 🏥 Working with the NHS to deliver pilot programmes that fund free meals for parents staying with their sick children in hospitals across the country.
  • 🎯 Campaigning to ensure play specialists are available seven days a week, improve hospital food, train health professionals in childhood cancer care and increase funding for cancer research.

Why This Matters

When a child is in hospital, parents often stay by their bedside day and night. Yet in many cases, they don’t have access to meals, essential supplies or the support they need to cope with the emotional and physical strain. Sophie’s Legacy works to change that, ensuring families are cared for as a whole and not just as patients.

Their programmes, run both directly and alongside hospitals and NHS partners, make a profound difference to thousands of families each year – helping them focus on what truly matters: supporting their child.

How Your Support Helps

Every contribution to Sophie’s Legacy goes toward direct support for families in hospital or national campaigns to improve care nationwide. Examples of how donations make an impact include:

  • Supporting meal provision for parents who are staying with sick children in hospital.
  • Providing comfort packs and essential items to parents and siblings during long stays.
  • Funding practical support services like transport vouchers, emergency clothing and birthday celebrations for children in hospital.
